LITURGICAL Colours

1. WHITE

Is a color of joy and celebration, it is used in the mass during EASTER and CHRISTMAS. It is also used in the celebration of the blessed virgin Mary, and solemnity of all saints.

2. RED

Is used for passion Sunday (PALM SUNDAY), pentecost Sunday, feast day of apostle, evangelist and celebration of martyrs.The colour RED signifies blood of Christ or martyrs, it is also a sign of the Holy spirit.

3. GREEN

It symbolises GROWTH and HOPE,it is used during ordinary time

4. VIOLET or PURPLE

It symbolises peace and preparation of mayor feast in CHRISTMAS and EASTER. e.i is Advent and Lent
